| A "New" moon occurs when moon's
orbit places IT between the earth and the sun. From there, it may cast
its shadow on the EARTH.
In a "Full" moon, the EARTH is between the moon and the sun. When the alignment is right, the earth casts its shadow on the MOON. This is a lunar eclipse. Do you know what a "Blue Moon" is? |
