In the Fall of 2024, Dan Ritchie (pdhowler.com) created a new plugin for PD Howler to simulate water colors, and effects of them blending and mixing with fluid dynamics and turbulence. Initially planned as a plugin to be added to PD Howler 2025, it also became available as a standalone tool.
If you use other programs such as popular photo editing, illustration or paint tools, such as the GIMP, Inkscape, as well as 3D tools such as Blender3D and have a need for newly imagined textures created with a few brush strokes, this is for you. It can also let you paint as if you're standing in front of an easel with paper for translucent water colors,.... on Jupiter! (since you can adjust the gravitationaly pull effect ;-).
How to Order WatercolorFX
This is a low-cost tool, perhaps a gadget (?). Certainly a candidate for a companion. You can order it directly from the developer Dan Ritchie - he's the author of Project Dogwaffle's PD Howler and the WatercolorFX addon, and if you like to support an independent artist & programmer, please consider ordering from him directly and also tell your fellow friends, arists and artists on your social media channels - If you need other payment options than what Dan offers, consider ordering here: ../sales/index.html#wcfx
