This plugin can be useful when you have a sequence of images that are very shaky, such as from a video clip in a hand held cell phone camera. (I guess you could also use it to destabilize an existing, stable clip such as 3D animation to make it a bit more dramatic - imagine running away from a dinosaur, looking back at it while you run).
